SV pojišťovna, a.s., hereby informs its clients who use the Welcome insurance product.

On August 2, 2021, the Act amending Act No. 326/1999 Coll., On the Residence of Foreigners in the Czech Republic, entered into force. The change concerns, among other things, the possibility to conclude the comprehensive health insurance for foreigners.

The change in the law will in no case affect clients who have concluded an insurance contract before August 1, 2021 (inclusive). We would like to assure our clients that during the insurance period specified in the insurance contract, we are ready to provide insurance benefits in accordance with the general insurance conditions.

There is no need to make any changes to your existing insurance policy.

Welcome insurance contracts concluded with the SV pojišťovna before August 2, 2021 are in compliance with the legal order of the Czech Republic.

Product description

The “Welcome” package is a travel health insurance for foreigners which is valid in the Czech Republic and for trips within the Schengen area.

It also serves as proof of insurance for stays up to the 90 days pursuant of Act No. 326/1999 Coll. regarding the residency of foreigners in the territory of the Czech Republic, as amended.

The subject of the insurance is the cost for needed and urgent care, which arose within the medical treatment.

“Welcome” insurance covers proven cost which arose in the context of medical expenses related to COVID-19.
